“…Among the strategies that contribute to overcoming situations of discrimination in employment related to the use of the hijab by Muslim women, our findings have pointed to the relevance of establishing supportive relationships (with teachers, classmates and coworkers), as well as the decisive importance of receiving the support of people in leadership and managerial positions that may contribute to fostering a climate of respect for diversity. “…In spite of its undeniable ambivalence, the role of religion in enhancing peace, reconciliation, healing and cohesion is increasingly recognised (Agbiji & Swart, 2015). Similarly, other authors have argued that contrary to what the global north predicted, religion has not been diminished by secularisation (Campdepadrós-Cullell et al, 2021). On the contrary, it has increased.…”

“…Hence, in the Document, the two leaders declare to adopt the "culture of dialogue" as a path and mutual understanding as a method to build bridges among diverse cultural and religious communities (Campdepadrós-Cullell et al 2021). With this in mind, during the apostolic trip to the United Arab Emirates from 3 to 5 February 2019, Pope Francis met the members of the Muslim Council of Elders at the Founder's Memorial and, reading his address, said: "With a heart grateful to the Lord, in this eighth centenary of the meeting between Saint Francis of Assisi and Sultan al-Malik al Kāmil, I have welcomed the opportunity to come here as a believer thirsting for peace, as a brother seeking peace with the brethren.…”
