“…A proper understanding of the physical and chemical properties of soiling particles is essential to determine the appropriate cleaning method for PV modules. Chemical composition and particle size distribution are significant in determining the method of dust interaction with the PV module surface [18]. A study conducted to evaluate PV system performance across six cities in Oman [19], revealed that three cities namely, Liwa, Sohar, and Muscat, were exposed to a higher level of pollution and dust than the remaining three namely Suwaiq, Khaboura and Shinas due to their proximity to industrial zones and urban traffic.…”
