Interrelation of thermodynamic sublimation characteristics with crystal structure: adamantane and memantine derivatives of sulfonamide molecular crystals
Abstract:A number of sulfonamide compounds with adamantane (tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane) and memantine (3,5-dimethyladamantan-1-amine) fragments have been synthesized and characterized.
“…1 In contrast, we use the β coefficient representing the free volume in a unit cell normalized to the van der Waals volume of the molecules in its content in our works. 2,3 Such normalization allows us to compare the free volumes of molecules that are different in size and topology not only for single-component but also for two-component crystals.…”
Linear correlation equations linking the β(CC) parameter of the two-component crystals with the similar parameter β(CF2) of the single-component crystal for the strictly fixed temperatures were derived.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
