The sharing of electronic health records (EHRs) has shown great advantages in the accurate treatment of patients and the development of medical institutions. However, it is easy to cause some security problems in the process of medical data sharing. Generally, after a patient's EHRs are generated by different medical institutions, they are outsourced to the cloud server (CS) by the authorized medical institutions for storage, which causes the patient to lose control of EHRs. Moreover, malicious medical institutions and semi-trusted cloud servers may collude to tamper with EHRs to seek benefits, which threatens the integrity of EHRs. Therefore, we propose a blockchain-assisted verifiable outsourced attribute-based signcryption scheme (BVOABSC) which realizes the secure sharing of EHRs in a multi-authority cloud storge environment. Firstly, we use the attribute-based signcryption algorithm to realize the confidentiality and unforgeability of the EHRs and protect the privacy of the signer. Secondly, it greatly reduces the computational burden of users by using verifiable outsourcing computation mechanism. Most of the designcryption calculation is performed by the cloud server, and the correctness of the generated partial designcryption ciphertext is verified by users. Furthermore, we use blockchain technology to protect outsourced EHRs from tampering by illegal users. Specifically, each operation on outsourced EHRs is stored as a transaction on the public blockchain, which ensures that EHRs cannot be modified. At the same time, the auditor can verify the integrity of the outsourced EHRs by checking the corresponding transactions. In addition, the smart contract created by the patient can solve the problems in cloud storage, such as tampering EHRs and returning incorrect results. Finally, security analysis and performance evaluation show that the proposed BVOABSC scheme satisfies stronger security and higher efficiency than similar schemes. Context: Smart Energy is a disruptive concept that has led to the emergence of new energy policies, technology projects, and business models. The development of those models is driven by world capitals, companies, and universities. Their purpose is to make the electric power system more efficient through distributed energy generation/storage, smart meter installation, or reduction of consumption/implementation costs. This work approaches Smart Energy as a paradigm that is concerned with systemic strategies involving the implementation of innovative technological developments in energy systems. However, many of the challenges encountered under this paradigm are yet to be overcome, such as the effective integration of solutions within Smart Energy systems. Edge Computing is included in this new technology group. Objective: To investigate developments that involve the use of Edge Computing and that provide solutions to Smart Energy problems. The research work will be developed using the methodology of systematic mapping of literature, following the guidelines established by Kitchenham and Petersen that facilitate the identification of studies published on the subject. Results: Inclusion and exclusion criteria have been applied to identify the relevant articles. We selected 80 papers that were classified according to the type of publication (journal, conferences, or book chapter), type of research (conceptual, experience, or validation), type of activity (implement, validate, analyze) and asset (architecture, framework, method, or models). Conclusion: A complete review has been conducted of the 80 articles that were closely related to the questions posed in this research. To reach the goal of building Edge Computing architectures for Smart Energy environments, several lines of research have been defined. Since the invention of the steam engine in the 18th century, innovation drove the development of industrial processes. The next industrial revolution will form an ecosystem of over 20 billion connected devices with unforeseeable influence to the gross domestic product by 2020, and connected assets will generate about 44ZB of data, which pose interesting challenges related to privacy, connectivity, scalability, and others. A current line of action that leads to this direction is the development of cyber‐physical systems; considered as the coupling of physical processes and the digital world, its influence in the next industrial revolution is essential. In this work, we discuss its implementation, taking the Fog computing paradigm into consideration. As a starting point, we are extending a standard‐compliant machine‐to‐machine communication architecture to support container‐based orchestration mechanisms to enable cyber‐physical systems to be programmable, autonomous, and to communicate peer‐to‐peer. As the primary field of application, we are considering Industrial Internet domains in general and Smart Factory environments in particular. In this paper, we present an architecture for Fog Nodes, as well a more in‐depth discussion on the orchestration system and programmable characteristics of the Fog Node. On the basis of a simulation model, we show the advantages of having a programmable Fog Node supported by an orchestration system. Finally, we open a discussion about our solution and its application in the field of Smart Factories.
