“…A significant segment of such interest has been directed at exploring the international diffusion of criminal justice policies and practices. To date, much of the criminological research on policy transfer has addressed the manner in and extent to which policies and practices have actually been reproduced in different jurisdictions, the broader ramifications and the desirability of policy transfer, as well as factors that facilitate or impede the international transfer of policies and practices (including, for example, Cohen 1988;Bayley 2001;Bowling and Sheptycki 2012;Hills 2009;Newburn and Sparks 2004;Muncie 2005;Jones and Newburn 2007;Wacquant 2009;Crawford 2009;Walters 2006, Blaustein 2015.
