“…The indicators loading, average variance extracted (AVE), Cronbach's Alpha (CA), and composite reliability (CR) are all used to evaluate the measurement's convergent validity. On each construct, the following results were found following the measurement assessment: (i) as suggested by Hair et al (2011), the indicators' loadings were found to be higher than 0.60, thus, achieving the cut-off point of 0.4 to 0.7; (ii) the AVE values were also higher than the minimum criterion of 0.50, i.e., ranging from 0.516 to 0.787; (iii) the CA and CR values ranged from 0.766 to 0.965, and 0.841 to 0.969, respectively, thus, meeting the acceptable value of 0.70 for CR and CA evaluations (Hair et al 2017;Salleh et al 2016). Consequently, the present study was considered to have acceptable convergent validity based on the findings.…”

“…As defined by Miller (1983), EO is characterized by three key characteristics: creativity, bravery, and initiative. A company's innovation depends on its willingness and ability to embrace new ways of thinking (Salleh et al, 2018), working and meeting customer needs (Lumpkin & Dess, 2001). "Risk-taking" is characterized by managers' willingness to undertake large and potentially risky investments in order to achieve high returns (Lumpkin & Dess, 2001).…”

“…For consistency reliability (CR) assessment, the internal consistency reliability should be greater than 0.7 (Hair et al, 2014;Fareed, Noor, Isa, Shahzad, & Laeeq, 2016;Salleh, Fareed, Yusoff, & Saad, 2018;Salleh, Fareed, Yusoff, & Saad, 2016). The results of this study showed that the composite reliability values 0.917 (Muslim SME success), 0.871 (innovation), 0.845 (risk) and 0.914 (proactive).…”

“…(2017), that 97 per cent of all businesses in the country are from the SME sector. These businesses also accounted for 36 per cent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2016, 65 per cent of all jobs and 18 per cent of the country's exports (Bajet, 2017;SMECorp, 2017).From the entire SME industry only 37 percent are Muslim SMEs (Parlimen, 2016;SMECorp, 2016). This has led to the importance role of SMEs in the country.…”
