Abstract:This report describes an asymptomatic patient with a DDDR pacemaker system (Inos Cls, Biotronik) that showed intermittent mode reversion to VOO and sometimes to VVI without a detectable source of electromagnetic interference and oversensing. Patients with this Biotronik model should be carefully assessed along with a surface ECG before placing the programming head.
Electrosurgery during PG replacement or upgrade surgery can trigger output failure or inappropriate low pacing rate in certain models of modern pacemakers. Cautions should be taken for pacemaker-dependent patients.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
