“…Today, the expansion of nursing roles due to globalization and various socio-cultural, economic and political developments, as well as in innovations in science and technology, has led to an increase in conflicts between individual, professional and organizational values, and thus to more ethical dilemmas (Bijani et al, 2019; Şenyuva, 2018; Torabizadeh et al, 2019). The risk of injury and infection, and dangers from hazardous substances, are high for nurses and the patients they care for, especially in units with a complex structure such as surgical units, where there is a quick circulation of patients, frequent use of technology, and in which unexpected and life-threatening situations and situations that require quick decision-making often develop (Akin Palandöken, 2020; Mert Boğa et al, 2020).…”

“…It is anticipated that the analysis of professional values will help guide training that leads to the internalization of these values, and also provide useful information for the development of more effective strategies (Acaroğlu, 2014; Weis & Schank, 2009). Various studies have focused on the professional values of nursing students, (Lafcı et al, 2020; Ulusoy et al, 2018) nurses, (Cetinkaya-Uslusoy et al, 2017; Geçit & Özbayır, 2020; Kaya & İşler Dalgiç, 2020; Poorchangizi et al, 2017; Şenyuva, 2018; Torabizadeh et al, 2019), academic nurses (Öztürk Dönmez & Altuğ Özsoy, 2018) and these three groups together (Bijani et al, 2019). However, to the best of our knowledge, there has as yet been no research in which the concepts of values, ethical sensitivity and care, which are in constant interaction with each other, have been examined together.…”
