Interference mitigation techniques for a dense heterogeneous area network in machine‐to‐machine communications

Abstract: With the advent of machine-to-machine communications, various networking consumer industrial, and autonomous systems exchange messages in the real world in order to achieve their objectives. Parts of these systems are comprised of short-range wireless networks in the form of clusters that collectively cover a large geographical area. In these clusters, the nodes that represent the cluster heads need to deal with two types of communications, ie, one is within the cluster and the other is from the cluster to the… Show more

“…The article shows better data rate in the presence of blockages. Interference mitigation techniques have also been applied by introducing blank burst period thereby avoiding internetwork collisions 13 to improve the quality of service (QoS). Stackelberg game is used for suppressing the interference for uplink network 14 .…”

“…Above all, most of the above studies did not consider co-channel interference in their measurements, so we proposed an algorithm named Blank Burst to mitigate co-channel interference in a dense area network. The interested reader can refer to [96] for more details. Energy has 40 radio frequency channels with each taking up 2 MHz, which is not depicted in Fig.…”

“…Chen et al [Chen et al 2019] propõe uma técnica para mitigar a interferência e, consequentemente, a colisão entre as tecnologias Wifi e Zigbee. A técnica proposta mescla o pacote 6LoWPAN para transmitir o pacote agregado posteriormente em um pacote Wifi, suspendendo a transmissão Zigbee com pacotes 6LoWPAN para evitar as colisões.…”
