Interfacial Bonding Strength in Cement Mortar Beams Reinforced with Metamaterial Bars

Abstract: Reinforced concrete beam (RCB) elements show low mechanical performance when interfacial bonding strength (IBS) is not well controlled. New tailorable material-structure arrangements -Metamaterials -offer solutions to the IBS problem.
