Interface, Flows and Transfer in an Electromagnetic Process Devoted to Liquid/Liquid Extraction

Abstract: International audienceIn ladle metallurgical processing, two liquid layers, a metallic phase below a salty or oxide phase, are separated by an interface where mass exchanges occur via redox reactions. The associated mass transfer is strongly dependent on the agitation of each phase, as well as of the interface.
