“…We applied the model described in the previous section to p+ 12 C elastic scattering data reported in the literature and collected in the EXFOR database [30,[36][37][38][39][40][41][42] considering a bombarding energy range from ≈30 to ≈80 MeV. As a first approximation, the p+α-like scattering amplitude f i (θ), required to compute equation (1), is obtained via a comprehensive fit, using Optical Model calculations, of existing p+ 4 He elastic scattering data at six different energies, from 31 to 85 MeV; the data were taken from [43][44][45][46], as reported in the EXFOR database (see figure 1). A multi-dimensional cubic spline interpolation of the obtained fit results was used to estimate scattering amplitudes in the whole energy domain investigated in this work, at all scattering angles.…”
