From these data and our results on the extreme polyclonality of DNase and RNase Abzs from AI patients (see below), it seems reasonable to conclude that the polyclonal Abz pool contains different types: (a) Abs to DNA or RNA, (b) anti-idiotypic Igs to DNases and RNases, and probably (c) to other enzymes such as topoisomerases, or to their complexes with nucleic acids, or with other ligands including allosteric enzyme regulators.…”
