Abstract:The adhesion of biomolecules to dental and orthopedic implants is a fundamental step in the process of osseointegration. Short peptide motifs, such as RGD or KRSR, carried by extracellular matrix proteins or coated onto implant surfaces, accelerate cell adhesion and tissue formation.
