Interaction between Solvatochromic Dyes and Water Sampled from a Natural Source Treated with High Dilutions of Phosphorus

Abstract: Background Highly diluted and succussed solutions interact with solvatochromic dyes, indicating that changes in solvent and solute polarity could be related to their mechanism of action. It is not known, however, how the activity associated with succussed high dilutions is transferred to untreated water and what the limits of this process are. Aims The aims of the present study were to ascertain whether a succussed high dilution of phosphorus (1.5 × 1−59 M; Phos 30cH) seeded into a natural water sour… Show more

“…The results allow for the use of these homeopathic potencies as agents in a simple and low-cost remediation procedure, able to improve natural bioresilience processes and be monitored by solvatochromic dyes, even in a large volume of water, as previously reported. 48 1Circalunar variations are known to be important modulation factors on the physiological processes of several marine species. In 2020, Andreatta and Tessmar-Raible pointed out connections between rhythms of metabolic and endocrine pathways and circalunar variations, 57 making it possible to identify molecular markers, such as gonadotrophin-releasing hormone and neuropeptides, related to the expression of "clock genes" in several marine species.…”

“…41,42 Solvatochromic dyes have been used as a sensitive method to identify succussed high dilutions. [43][44][45][46][47][48] This method is based on the capacity of these dyes to act as probes, revealing changes in patterns of solvent/solute polarity in the presence of homeopathic samples, [43][44][45][46] through changes in their visible spectra. The method has been used since 2016 as a sensitive tool for evaluating homeopathic potencies.…”

“…Printing and dyeing wastewater has become a major source of pollution [1][2][3]. If discharged into natural water without effective treatment, the wastewater will inflict harm on aquatic life and human beings alike [4]. At present, the treatment methods of printing and dyeing wastewater include biological treatment [5], chemical oxidation [6], flocculation-precipitation [7], electrolysis [8], photocatalytic degradation [9], etc.…”

“…2 In an elegant study on a system of natural lakes in Brazil, Ana Carla Aparicio and co-workers used a solvatochromic dye as a tracking method to discover that Phos 30c can propagate itself through large volumes of water. 3 The individual experience of participating in a "provings" trial is the focus of the paper by Zofia Dymitr et al, with the important conclusion that ethical approval processes and robust support mechanisms should be securely in place for all such studies. 4 And novel findings from an invitro experiment by Marta Marzotto and colleagues support the possibility that homeopathic Arnica exerts a biological action on tissue formation and repair via the expression of genes that code for certain regulatory proteins of the extracellular matrix.…”
