The overall objective of this work is to evaluate the impact of professional learning training program a in the work of socially vulnerable young apprentices. Two studies were carried out to meet the proposed objectives. Study 1 presents a systematic review of national and international scientific literature on the concept of Social Vulnerability and its measuring instruments. There were 46 articles selected for analysis out of 620 found on journals in english, portuguese and spanish languages rated by peers, between the years 1994 and 2014. The results suggest that Social Vulnerability is a multidimensional construct and it is understudied in psychology and further materials are still in early stage, as well as the discussions about measuring instruments remain in the individual level. Study 2 exposes the construction and application of a selfassessment scale to evaluate the impact of the training on the work of 281 young apprentices aged between 14 and 22 years, from the brazilian Federal District area. The results showed twofactor empirical structure that explained a set of 21.75% of the total variance of the number of participants responses to the items, indicating a need for inclusion of more items and improvement of the instrument. The results demonstrate that the economic condition prerequisite C2 and DE for participation of youth in the program, homicide rates and the Human Development Index of the RIDE-DF indicate at least some level of social vulnerability situation in which the participants currently live, yet it was not observed correlation with the training impact variables. It is suggested that in future studies evaluate the perception of social vulnerability experienced by young apprentices, as well as evaluating the VS by other indicators.
