“…Majority (88%) of our measured traits may be conforming to the above since our single plant selection program commenced at F 6 . However, there are some traits whose effective selection would be most appropriate at the advanced generations (Kahani and Hittalmani, 2016;Aananthi, 2018). Our study identify plant height at maturity as one of such phenotypic traits whose most effective selection can be achieved at F 6 -F 7 intergeneration and indicating F 6 as a good indicator for F 7 performances.…”
