Inter-Campus Sharable Potential of Hardware Educational Resources in A University Town: Connotation, Determination Method and A Case Study

Abstract: Sharing educational resources (ERs) among campuses in a university town (UT) could avoid the waste or repeated construction of ERs, which is beneficial to the sustainable utilization of resources. For hardware educational resources (HERs) greatly attached to land resources, whether they have surplus shareable potential is the key factor relating to inter-campus sharing. However, there is a serious lack of definition and quantitative research on HERs' shareable potential. Based on the correlation between land r… Show more

“…The geographical advantage of university towns also allows the sharing of resources (i.e., workforce, infrastructure, among others), again highlighted by an active engagement among stakeholders for broader development (Chen et al, 2014). Additionally, Zhang et al (2020) pointed out the significance of sharing education resources in university towns through inter-campus resource-sharing potentials and a more comprehensive management framework among the HEIs.…”

“…On this basis, the formation of cloud computing has more easily expandable, virtualized dynamic resources, the model, and a series of cloud computing technology applications for the development of Internet services to indicate the direction of the current network research hot issues [3][4]. In defining the concept of cloud computing, due to the existence of a large number of related facilities in the network, different from the local facilities, and in the network environment to complete the customization of services not through the cloud, the application process should be combined with the actual needs of the principle of easy to expand, to provide a variety of services, so it will be named "cloud" [5][6]. The cloud computing model has obvious advantages in the process of providing network services so that the role of software and hardware can be fully played, the user terminal through the technology, but also can be transformed into a cloud network interaction tools, so that some of the functions that can only be operated on the mainframe can be realized with the help of the user terminal [7][8].…”

“…Therefore, colleges and universities should use a variety of ways to facilitate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements for the scientific research archive management innovation services, focusing on the important position of scientific research achievements in the development of the school [5][6][7]. At the same time, colleges and universities the transformation of scientific research results should also rely on external forces to communicate with enterprises and related organizations, with their power to improve the efficiency of the transformation of scientific research results through innovative service systems and promote the improvement of social science and technology level [8][9][10].…”
