“…For detection of SLAP lesions, the sensitivity, specifi city, and accuracy of MR arthrography were 89%, 91%, and 90% in a study by Bencardino et al ( 15 ); 84%-92%, 69%-84%, and 74%-84% in a study by Jee et al ( 16 ); 82%, 98%, and 95% in a study by Waldt et al ( 17 ); and 86.4%-90.9%, 76.7%-93.3%, and 82.4%-90.5% in a study by Holzapfel et al ( 18 ), respectively. Compared with the results in these studies, multidetector CT arthrography in our study showed higher sensitivity (94.3% and 97.7% for readers 1 and 2, respectively) but slightly lower specifi city (72.6% and type V and VII lesions failed to be differentiated from SLAP type V lesions even in fi nal review with knowledge of arthroscopic results.…”
