“…oreover, another implication of the technological advancements to the teaching and learning processes, as described in this study, will be to look into more pertinent teaching methods or platforms (be it in-person or virtual), along with development of (digital) teaching-learning skills for the stakeholders, to fully benefit from the technology-mediated education and process innovations (Almaiah et al, 2020;Mikheev et al, 2021;Mohan et al, 2020;Mpungose, 2020a;Raffaghelli et al, 2020). This means, alongside provision of the various promising learning platforms and programs, that HEIs must also focus their attention towards the digital literacy levels or training for the stakeholders to flourish in the modern day digital-savvy generation (Mpungose, 2020b;UNESCO 2014), as well as, how to fill the voids that the rapid shift from face-to-face to online learning has left for the stakeholders (Armstrong-Mensah et al, 2020).…”

“…The collaboration among instructors to create an electronic platform is encouraged as some of TVET instructors have qualification in ICT. The use of LMS Moodle and MOOCs as a platform for online learning enables students to access educational content at any time and will reduce institutional barriers (Mohan et al, 2020;Min & Nasir, 2020). The teaching materials in the electronic format such as electronic textbooks, study guides, tests and many more can be uploaded and downloaded by the students and teachers easily.…”

“…Moreover, the learners' behaviour towards completing courses specifically within the context of MOOCs, needs further investigation (Paton et al, 2018). Although several researchers have examined the initial adoption intention of MOOCs (Sun et al, 2018;Lung-Guang, 2019;Gupta, 2019;Mohan et al, 2010), but the completion intention of MOOCs, which is a major concern amongst MOOC developers, has not been given ample attention by researchers (Gupta and Maurya, 2020).…”
