Intelligent Traffic Control System For Emergency Vehicle

Abstract: Abstract-The proposed design is based on an traffic controlling, which allow high priorities vehicles like ambulance. Each ambulance is configured with zigbee module (placed at a predefined location). In this module PICAT89C52 system-on-chip module uses to read the ZIGBEE module attached to the vehicle. It recognizes the time span of green light of respective path. As the ambulance is heading toward the junction, the green signal will turn ON. The signal will turn ON by communication with the traffic controlle… Show more

“…Respondents explained that the green time was not enough, so it was quite dangerous for pedestrians. Previous research mentioned that pedestrians' road crossing behavior affects traffic flow in various ways (Patil and Khode, 2017) Pedestrian's crossing behavior is an important factor for pedestrian safety on roads. The pedestrian waiting time can be used to decide the need for pedestrian facilities in an area (Jain et al, 2014).…”

“…Therefore, these situations create complexities for the flow of emergency vehicles in busy hours and it raises to putting one who is needing an emergency vehicle into a critical stage. Subsequently, to erase this issue researches on totally different technologies are done and explored to monitor emergency vehicle and manage traffic flow [6], [7] To solve this problem, two optimization-based methods particular swarm optimization (PSO) and simulated annealing (SA) are used to propose an intelligent traffic light system via optimize global vehicle travel time, throughput, and/or the number of stops at multiple intersections. As well as improve and smoothen the movement of emergency vehicles.…”
