Intelligent Modeling of Edge Components of Prefabricated Shear Wall Structures Based on BIM

Abstract: Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital tool that can be used to create three-dimensional models of components. BIM technology, with its parameterized modeling scheme, can effectively address design changes. The use of BIM technology in prefabricated shear wall structures can significantly enhance component design accuracy and production efficiency. The Tekla software offers significant advantages in BIM deepening design. By utilizing the C# language, secondary development of the Tekla software, and t… Show more

“…The experimental results showed that this method had good performance in intelligent building information dialogue and provided an effective solution for oral interaction in intelligent building system. Based on the BIM, Li et al (2023) [12] proposed an intelligent modeling method for prefabricated edge members of shear wall structures. This method realized intelligent modeling of edge components through automatic data extraction and model generation technology.…”

“…Prefabricated building elements have many advantages when compared to traditional building styles [6][7][8]. In areas affected by earthquakes, workforce shortage problems were present even before the earthquake, so making new temporary or permanent housing is a big challenge [9].…”

“…When compared to traditional building style, prefabricated elements made in a factory require less skilled workers for manufacturing elements and less skilled workers for building construction. With standardized element layers and dimensions, the need for fast manufacturing can be more easily obtained [6][7][8].…”
