Intelligence and Security Databases (ISD) vs. 'Hard Core' Sciences Databases (HCSD): Challenges and Opportunities

Abstract: Intelligence and security databases (ISD) are facing the specific challenges and opportunities of information overload and the ultimate need for advanced intelligence analyses and investigations. We summarize analogies with hard core science databases (HCSD) challenges(the case of synoptic astronomy) and point out HCSD experiences which could be applied on problems facing ISD.
