Abstract:Background: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a widely recognized consequence of deployment, combat exposure, and trauma. Postdeployment PTSD commonly co-occurs with other medical problems and mood disorders to include depression, suicidality, substance-abuse disorders, anxiety disorders, and chronic pain.
