Abstract:The incidence of EBTB is reported to be 10%-40% in pulmonary tuberculosis patients [1] and has been increasing in recent years. Tracheobronchial stenosis is the most common complication of EBTB because EBTB often occurs in and damages the tracheobronchial wall. Untreated tracheobronchial stenosis may cause pulmonary complications, such as repeated pulmonary infection, atelectasis, and bronchiectasis, which can induce respiratory failure or asphyxia in extreme cases and result in death.
