“…Fungi inactivation was performed by placing the fungi mycelia in an oven at 50°C for 24 h. After 3 day, due to no enzymatic activity, the color removal was achieved to be about 10% for both the inactive fungi mycelium and fungi free medium in the dye solutions. Similar tests in the same manner were also performed for textile wash water effluent and about 10% color removal by adsorption was observed in a previous study . Results supporting this study were also reported for Coriolus versicolour and P. chrysosporium indicating that enzymatic activity initiated and increased the biodegradation process .…”

“…The results showed that the highest decolorization levels were achieved at pH 4.5 in both AR 88 and RR 180 cultures. The high level of decolorization occurring during the first day was primarily due to adsorption onto the fungus mycelium . Hai et al also pointed out that adsorption occurred in mycelia in the first 24 h and enzymatic activity degraded the dye in the remaining incubation time.…”

“…Protein içeriği açısından tüm boya derişimlerinde benzer salınımları gösterdiğinden boya derişiminin bu fungus için çok etkili olmadığı düşünülebilir. Gerçek atıksu çalışmalarında da benzer şekilde P. chrysosporium verimli sonuçlar vermiştir [19]. Fungal proseslerin kullanıldığı birçok çalışmada renk gideriminin ve KOİ gideriminin bakteriyel proseslere göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.…”

“…Furthermore, most of the photocatalytic membraner eactors described in the literature combinep hotocatalysis with pressure-driven membrane processes, such as microfiltration, [125][126][127][128][129][130][131][132][133][134][135][136][137][138][139] ultrafiltration, [118,140] and nanofiltration. [141] However,i facatalyst in suspension is applied, membrane fouling is observed, especially in the case of micro-and ultrafiltration membranes. Moreover,t he quality of permeate is rather low because small molecules can easily pass through the membranes, even in the case of nanofiltration.…”
