Integrated analysis of dysregulated long non-coding RNAs/microRNAs/mRNAs in metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma

Abstract: BackgroundLung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), largely remains a primary cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The molecular mechanisms in LUAD metastasis have not been completely uncovered.MethodsIn this study, we identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs), miRNAs (DEMs) and lncRNAs (DELs) underlying metastasis of LUAD from The Cancer Genome Atlas database. Intersection mRNAs were used to perform gene ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway and co-expression network analysis. In … Show more

“…Improvements in bioinformatic analyses methods and applications of high throughput sequencing technology have identified numerous aberrantly expressed lncRNAs in cancers. 12,13 It should be noted lncRNAs play crucial roles in regulating CC carcinogenesis. Previous work found lncRNA SNHG7 was increased expression in CC tissues and correlated with poor overall survival.…”

“…The ARHGAP30 ( Rho GTPase activating protein 30 ) gene encodes a Rho GTPase-activating protein, with a role in regulating cell adhesion (Naji et al 2011), as well as suppressing lung cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion (Mao and Tong 2018). In colorectal cancer (CRC), ARHGAP30 levels correlate with p53 acetylation and functional activation (Wang et al 2014), and ARHGAP30 has been proposed as a prognostic marker for CRC (Wang et al 2014), early-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (Liao et al 2017) and lung adenocarcinoma (Li et al 2018).…”

“…ADGRG6 is a member of the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor family and the depletion of ADGRG6 expression in urothelial bladder carcinomas cells compromised their abilities to recruit endothelial cell and induce tube formation [44]. The upregulated CD52 is correlated with poor survival in patient with Lung adenocarcinoma by analysis [45]. CD52 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)anchored protein expressed on the surface of normal T and B lymphocytes and also known as CAMPATH-1 antigen [46].…”
