Integer-Charged Quark Model and Electron-Positron Annihilation into Three Jets

Abstract: 1505The consequences of the integer-charge quark model in electron-positron annihilation into three jets are studied. To first order in as, three-gluon jets also contribute, in addition to quarkantiquark-gluon jets. If the gluon-mass is smaller than about 2 GeV, these three-gluon jets can dominate at PETRA energies (~30 Ge V). The angular distribution is presented as a test to signal this three-gluon jet. If however, the coloured-Higgs intermediate states are taken into account, the three-gluon jet is no longe… Show more

“…On the other hand, some researchers [41] [42] [43] [44] have emphasised that integer quark charge models describe experiments better than those using fractional charges. Thus, Ferreira [42] wrote that the integer charge models do a better job than the Standard Model at describing the two-photon data.…”
