Abstract:In article number 2101660, Gili Bisker and co‐workers use fluorescent single‐walled carbon nanotubes for the recognition and real‐time quantification of insulin, where binding of insulin onto the nanotube surface results in a modulation of the emitted fluorescence. The optical nanosensors are used to quantify insulin secreted by pancreatic β‐cells, thus providing a new tool for rapid evaluation of β‐cell function.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
