Insights into the Human Gut Virome by Sampling a Population from the Indian Subcontinent

Abstract: Gut virome plays an important role in human physiology but remains poorly understood. This study reports an investigation of the human gut DNA-virome of a previously unexplored ethnic population through metagenomics of faecal samples collected from individuals residing in Northern India.
