Insights into the enhanced photocatalytic and antioxidant properties of novel biogenically synthesised β-In2S3 quantum dots

Abstract: CharacterizationX-ray diffraction study of g-β-In2S3 was conducted using Philips X'PERT with Cu-Kα radiation with a scanning speed of 2 0 /minute at room temperature at around 25 0 C. Photoluminescence spectra were recorded from the Varian Cary eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer. SEM analyses were done using FEI Quanta FEG 200-High Resolution Scanning Electron Microscope to evaluate the surface and topography of the quantum dots. To

“…Conventional methods for wastewater treatment can be of three types: biological, chemical, and physical. These methods include membrane separation 10 , adsorption 11 , advanced oxidation 12,13 , catalytic ozonation 14 , Fenton and electro-Fenton 15 , catalytic photodegradation [16][17][18] , electrochemical degradation 19 , ultrasonic irradiation 20 and biodegradation 21 . Adsorption has gained widescale popularity due to its easy operations, cost-effectiveness, eco-friendly nature, and broad applicability 22 .…”
