“…In Uganda, the E-waste generated in 2019 and placed in the market was 32 kilo tones (kt) whereas the E-waste that was documented and destined for collection and recycling in 2018 was at 0.18 kt (Forti et al, 2020). Several studies (Zhang et al, 2020;Lin et al, 2020;Awasthi et al, 2019;Maphosa and Maphosa, 2020) have considered the consequences of E-waste but fell short of providing solutions to address E-waste management in a developing country context despite the paucity of solid research. This study fills that gap with evidence from recent studies to mitigate the consequences of E-waste and also provide the potential of sustainable E-waste management based on the role of key actors.…”
