Abstract:Among the most promising technologies for the next generation of electrochemical energy storage devices are lithium metal anode based batteries. In practical application, however, issues such as parasitic reactions of lithium metal with liquid electrolytes or the transient inhomogeneous lithium deposition on the metal anode occur for these storage systems.
To enable the use of lithium metal electrodes with liquid electrolytes, an artificial solid electrolyte interface (SEI) can be introduced, wh… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
