Inside Cover: Rotaxane‐Like Structures Threaded through the Pores of Hollow Porous Nanocapusles (Chem. Eur. J. 40/2016)

Abstract: Rotaxane‐like hybrid nanostructures are produced by connecting two bulky moieties using a linker threaded through a nanopore in the shell of a polymer nanocapsule. Shells with embedded molecules, reminiscent of biomembranes with embedded proteins, may lead to cell‐mimicking functional devices capable of cross‐shell communication.
