Inside Back Cover: Gold Nanoparticles in DNA‐Based Multilayer Films: Synthesis, Size Control, and Influence of the Multilayer Structure on Catalytic Properties (ChemNanoMat 2/2016)

Abstract: DNA‐based polyelectrolyte microcapsules containing a large number of well‐dispersed ultrasmall gold nanoparticles were obtained by reducing a gold precursor inside a polyelectrolyte multilayer. Layer‐by‐layer assembly gave DNA‐based multilayer capsules that were used as matrices to template the formation of 2‐3 nm gold nanoparticles.
