Inseminação Transcervical Com Sêmen Congelado Em Ovinos

Abstract: O presente experimento teve por finalidade verificar o efeito na prenhez de diferentes técnicas de inseminação cervical com sêmen congelado, em 234 ovelhas Corriedale, em cio natural. Utilizou-se sêmen congelado em peletes de três carneiros Suffolk e um Corriedale. Cento e trinta e seis ovelhas foram inseminadas por via cervical, com (60) e sem (76) tração cervical. “…Uma solução para a baixa taxa de prenhez pelo método transcervical, é a realização da inseminação pelo método de laparoscopia, ou pelo método transcervical tracionado, este último método permite a manipulação da cérvix e introdução do aplicador, realizando assim a deposição do sêmen no corpo uterino. Utilizando-se a técnica de IA transcervical tracionada, são encontradas taxas que variam de 45% (SOUZA et al, 1994) à 81% (MONREAL et al, 2008 No presente experimento apesar de não ter sido quantificado a taxa de penetração no canal cervical, a inseminação artificial transcervical provavelmente pode ter contribuído para a baixa taxa de prenhez na IATF.
