Abstract:Schools are not the same as schooling. The former implies a place or structure or some form of coherent location for learning to occur. Schooling is the verb, the action, and the process or what takes place within the school. It has no specific locational need. Along with the possibility of moving away from expensive infrastructure to more age-appropriate investments, the pandemic has highlighted this distinction.
