Abstract:An efficient and green synthesis of tetramethyl‐10‐(phenylamino)‐3,4,6,7,9,10‐hexahydroacridine‐1,8(2H,5H)‐dione derivatives has been achieved from various substituted aryl aldehydes, 5,5‐dimethyl‐3‐(2‐phenylhydrazinyl)cyclohex‐2‐enone and dimedone in aqueous ethanol medium.
