Abstract:BackgroundAutoimmune encephalitis (AIE) encompasses a spectrum of rare autoimmune-mediated neurological disorders, which are characterized by brain inflammation and dysfunction. Autoantibodies targeting the N-methyl-d-aspartic acid receptor (NMDAR) and leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 (LGI1) are the most common subtypes of antibody-positive AIE.
