“…Then, after soaking the mMBG/CPC composite of 10 wt.% mMBG/CPC in Tris-buffer for 1 day, the O-P-O (ν 4 mode in PO 4 3– ) bending vibrations of HA can be seen at 563 and 603 cm −1 . The asymmetric bending vibration of HA was found at 1041 cm −1 (ν 3 mode in PO 4 3− ) [ 32 , 33 , 34 ]. These bands indicated that the addition of mMBG does not affect the changes in CPC functional group vibrations.…”

“…With a further increase in the proportion of microcapsules, the composites showed a propensity to collapse and decreased compressive strength. Good injectability ( Tariq et al, 2019 ) and self-setting properties facilitate access of CPC to the bone defect area in a minimally invasive manner, allowing it to solidify in situ to adapt to the shape of the cavity. Due to its anti-washout ability, CPC is resistant to loss of bone graft material caused by scouring of body fluid and blood before solidification.…”

“…Consequently, these are attractive biomaterials for potential hard-tissue applications (Tanzawa et al, 2011). Poor injectability and excessively rapid curing times are common limitations preventing the use of calcium phosphate cements-based into widespread clinical settings (Tariq et al, 2019). Therefore, and increased attention is placed on cement manipulation and appropriate setting times to expand its chemotherapeutic and regenerative capacities.…”
