Abstract: The efficacy and safety of acute percutaneous transluminal angioplasty or stenting (PTA/PTAS) for vertebrobasilar artery occlusion with atherothrombotic brain infarction (ATBI) have not been confirmed despite the resistance to medical therapy alone.
