A recent retrospective study was conducted by Alahmari et al (2021) to assess the clinical presentation, postoperative complications, and outcomes of pediatric abdominal surgical emergencies in 272 children aged from 1 month up to 14 years in Saudi Arabia. The study finding concluded that 51.8 % of children had uncomplicated appendicitis, 16.5 % had perforated appendicitis, 8.5 % had obstructed inguinal hernia, 4 % of children had intussusception, and 3.3 % of children had an adhesive bowel obstruction.…”
