Abstract:BackgroundDue to their delayed onset of symptoms, atrial septal defects (ASDs) are common congenital cardiac defects that are frequently identified in adulthood. In cases of complicated ASD morphology, transcatheter closure employing devices such as the Amplatzer septal occluder (ASO) presents with difficulties.
