Abstract: Aim Hainosan (painongsan), composed of Platycodon grandiflorum root (PG), Paeonia lactiflora root (PL), and Citrus aurantium immature fruit (AF), is a formula used in traditional Japanese (Kampo) and Chinese medicine to treat purulent diseases, including gingivitis.
