Further, in R. lupini, the bacteroids are more permeable to chloramphenicol than the corresponding bacterial form (Coventry & Dilworth, 1975). Costerton, Ingram & Cheng (I 974) described similar observations for other bacteria with known defects in the outer membrane.…”
