“…It has been discovered that the haje's venom is anti-coagulant and stops clotting after 720 seconds. High concentrations of Moringa oleifera extract in ethyl acetate and ethanol (600 mg/kg) were found to have potent pro-coagulant properties, which may be used to counteract this effect (Adeyi et al, 2022).…”

“…The folkloric applications of P. guineense in the treatment of cough, bronchitis, rheumatism and intestinal diseases 8 could be a function of the reported anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antimicrobial abilities of Benzoic acid 4-hydroxy 26 , Lathodoratin 36,37 and Quinoline-2-(2-pyridinyl) 38 identified in the spice. Moreover, Adeyi et al 25 have revealed that a metalloprotease in the venom of the saw-scaled viper, Echis ocellatus was inhibited by an ethyl-acetate fraction of the spice containing the bioactive compound, 2-Pentanone, 4-cyclohexylidene-3,3-diethyl-. Thus, this compound may serve as a lead molecule in the synthesis of drugs for combating snake envenoming.…”

“…For some years now, studies on the treatment of snake envenoming using other remedies of natural or synthetic origins have gained more popularity due to drawbacks in the use of conventional antivenom (de Silva et al 2016; Adeyi et al 2021aand Ajisebiola et al 2022. Also, research interest gaining scientific importance and attention is focus on the utilization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized via the green route, as therapeutic agents most especially the biobased process, using synthesis with plant extracts (Iravani et al 2014;Lee and Jun 2019).…”
