Inherited Hair Disorders

Abstract: Inherited hair disorders form a highly phenotypically and genetically heterogeneous group, which result from abnormal regulation of hair growth and differentiation leading either to excessive or defective hair follicle development. Accurate diagnosis is essential as many of these disorders are indicative of sometimes occult and/or delayed systemic manifestations.
