Inhaled Steroids and Adrenal Function in Asthmatic Children

Abstract: Inhaled steroids are potent anti-inflammatory agents used in the treatment of asthma. One of the most important side-effects of their use is their capacity to suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal ( ) axis.
