Abstract:Airway diseases, mainly asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), are frequently treated with inhaled corticosteroids (ICS). ICS are considered as the cornerstone of asthma management, however, in COPD the picture is different and ICS are indicated in special circumstances.
