This is with regards to your article, Inguinal canal development: the muscular wall and the role of the gubernaculum (Biasutto et al., 2009). The article was very interesting and informative. I liked the article very much as the pictures were also very good. I presented this article in our departmental journal club. It was then that it came to my notice that there were some numerical mistakes in it. These were as follows:1. The total number of fetuses dissected were 42 males and 35 females which come to a total of 77 fetuses dissected, but in the article it was mentioned that 75 fetuses in all were dissected.2. In the results, it was found that 96% of male fetuses had their testes located at the deep inguinal ring, i.e., it means that 96% of 42 that comes to 40.32 but the immediate next statement mentions of the remaining three fetuses which is clearly a disparity.
